Service Provider Alias

Summary:  Service Provider Aliases can assist the OCR step in the Invoice process to complete data entry fields based on a service provider’s previous name.  Simply enter the Service Provider’s former name into Service Providers > Service Provider Alias.

Navigate to Service Providers > Service Provider Alias.

Select the appropriate Service Provider.  Please note that this list is global, so you do not need to change the association.

If Oscar the Grouch Trash Removal was previously known as (PKA) Big Bird Takes Away Trash, we can create that as a Service Provider Alias.  This will help the OCR Step that assists with auto-filing data entry in the Invoice process to know that the two providers are connected.  To do so, click + New Alias.  Note:  this is not used for Service Provider DBAs. 

Type each word of Big Bird Takes Away Trash into the Word fields below.

When complete, click Update.
